Gold Medal "Exceptional" 91 points
~World Beer Championships 2009
Porter has been around since the mid-18th century, and the Old Growler recipe has been around since then. Brewed by a tiny specialty brewery called Nethergate in the small farming village of Clare, Suffolk, Old Growler is a vivid look backward in time to 1750. Medium dark with a full malty flavor and a beatutifully balanced hop character. Smooth, warm and richly roasted. 5.5% ABV Available in 16.9oz bottle.
 | | | Augustinian Ale If England had ever been under Belgian rule this is the style of beer that would have resulted. Stronger than a typical British bitter, brewed with heaps of coriander and bottle conditioned, Augustinian Ale skips fearlessly between two brewing traditions. Boldly hopped with a bracing bitterness and sweeping coriander flavor. A unique, exceptional beer. Bottle conditioned. 5.2% ABV Available in 16.9oz bottle.
